VJ is known for his grounded, relational approach and ability to connect with technical professionals and teams. With 15+ years as an engineer and project manager, he helps leaders navigate complex environments, strengthen alignment, and lead with clarity. Shaped by a global perspective, he supports leaders in navigating difficult conversations and building trust and high-performing, collaborative teams.

VJ is a leadership consultant, facilitator, and former Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience across engineering, consulting, and leadership development. He specializes in supporting leaders and teams operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, where success depends on alignment, trust, and navigating competing priorities.

He has led independent consulting engagements that help organizations align purpose with performance, including facilitating strategic planning, designing leadership development programs, and strengthening alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. His experience spans complex infrastructure environments, including major projects such as the Kitimat LNG Project and the Bruce Power Units 1 & 2 Restart, as well as leadership and facilitation engagements with organizations such as the University of British Columbia, SFU Beedie School of Business, and BC Wood, where he supported engagement across 20+ Indigenous communities.

Earlier in his career, VJ worked as a project manager and engineer, leading multidisciplinary teams across the lifecycle of complex infrastructure and energy projects, including the Kitimat LNG Project and the Bruce Power Units 1 & 2 Restart. This experience enables him to quickly build credibility with technical teams and support professionals transitioning into effective leaders.

In addition to his consulting work, VJ teaches at SFU Beedie School of Business and has contributed to leadership and entrepreneurship programming at UBC Sauder School of Business.
